Monthly Grand Rounds

Respected Principal/Faculty/Head of Departments/ Students

I am delighted to invite you for the Grand Round on Nov 19 , 2011 at the College Auditorium at 12.00 pm- 2.00 pm. This academic activity will take place on every 3rd saturday of each month.

Each Clinical Department will present the main topic on rotation basis.

The topic selected by Medicine Department for Nov 19, 2011 is :

'Upper Gastrointestinal Bleeding in setting of Chronic Liver Disease'

Each Basic Science department will present a brief overview of the topic related to their subject.

Presentations will take place in following order:

Anatomy: ' Anatomy of Vascularity of GI Tract'

Physiology: 'Physiology of Portosystemic Circulation'

Pathology : 'Basics of Abnormal Portosystemic Circulation'

Medicine: ' Expert Review of Upper Gastrointestinal Bleed in Setting of Chronic Liver Disease' by Dr Omar Ahsan

Surgery : ' Role of surgical Interventions in GI Bleed' by Assoc. Prof Dr Muhammad Abdullah FCPS & FRCS (General Surgery)

All students, faculty members, HODs of Basic/ Clinical Departments will be present.

If anyone (studens/faculty members)  wants to take part in this or future monthly grand rounds . He is most welcome .
