White coat ceremony Nov 29 2011

White Coat ceremony took place on Nov 29, 2011. All the college academic council was present. The Chief guest was Prof Anwaar Ahmed Khan , leading gastroenterologist , Ex Dean and HOD Sheikh Zayd Federal Postgraduate Medical Institute Lahore.

Introduction of Guest Speaker:

Our guest speaker this afternoon is an amazing man with a most impressive academic  background in medicine.

Prof . Anwaar.A Khan ....Diplomate American Board of Internal Medicine & Gastroenterology

He is the Ex Chairman & Dean Shaikh Zayed Federal Postgraduate Medical Institute, Lahore

He is the Ex-Professor and Head ,Department of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, SZFPMI, Lhr

He is the Ex Dean Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry , Punjab University, Lahore

Currently Dean , Faculty of Gastroenterology , CPSP

 

Prof Anwaar A Khan is a leading gastroenterologist of Pakistan. He has played a pivotal role in establishing the Department of Sheikh Zayd hospital to an international level. This SZ institute went on to carry out the  first successful liver transplantation this August .

 He is an expert & Dedicated teacher . He has introduced the latest technology in his field. He has numerous scientific papers (management of hepatitis )published in international journals. He has represented Pakistan both nationally and internationally. In recognition of his services he was awarded Sitare Imtiaz by GOvt of Pakistan.

Other guests  included Lt. Gen Arshad Mehmood, Prof Bilal Imtiaz etc. It started with recitation by Holy Quran by 3rd year student Mr Farooq Ahmed.

Principal, Prof Laiq Hussain Siddiqui delivered a heart rendering speech to the new first year students. It was followed by brief address by important guests. Finally Chairman, AMDC addressed the audience .

At the end Oath taking ceremony took placed followed by key address by the chief guest. He stressed on hardwork and usage of modern technology to enhance our education skills.
