PERSONAL PROFILE

 

Dr. Zeeshan Azeem FCPS Anaesthesiologist received his MD degree from University of Medicine and Pharmacy “GR.T.Popa” Iasi, Romania in 2003.  Registered with PMDC in 2004 and completed his housejob in medicine and surgery in 2005. He started his career in Anesthesia in 2005 and worked with a leading group of Anaesthetists in Lahore, named Kaul and Associates. This group provides anaesthetic services in 3 renowned hospitals of the city which include Hameed Latif Hospital, Doctors Hospital and National Hospital. In 2006 he joined the training programme of CPSP with Kaul and Associates and completed Post-Graduation in 2010. He gained experience after Post-Graduation working in Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre in Anaesthesia Department in 2010. He joined Akhtar Saeed Trust Teaching Hospital in 2011 as Assistant Professor Anaesthesia.

His clinical expertise includes in giving perioperative care to all kinds of surgical patients including preoperative assessment, anaesthesia during surgery and postoperative care. Surgical patients include; patients of general surgery, gynaecology and obstetrics, urology, otorhinolaryngology, orthopaedic surgery, thoracic surgery, ophthalmology, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, paediatrics, tumor surgery and trauma and emergency surgery. He has provided labour analgesia and managed patients with acute and chronic pain as well. He had also worked in a fully equipped intensive care unit and learnt the management of mechanically ventilated patients.

His career objective is to continue his learning with the advancing modalities of anaesthesia.
